Primary Software: LabVIEW Development Systems>>LabVIEW Professional Development System
Primary Software Version: N/A
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: N/A
Hardware: FieldPoint

Problem:
Why won't the web server and/or remote front panels for FieldPoint function after being enabled in LabVIEW?

Solution:
After enabling the web server on the controller, you will need to deploy the settings and reboot the controller for the server to become active. The following steps will discuss how to accomplish this task:

Note: These steps assume that you have the LabVIEW Real-Time Module installed and NI-FieldPoint 5.0 or later.

  1. Add the FieldPoint bank to the Project Explorer by right-clicking Project:Your Project Title»New»Targets and Devices»Existing Target or Device»Real Time FieldPoint»"Select your target".
  2. Right-click FP@Your IP Address and select Properties.
  3. Then, highlight WebServer:Configuration, place a check next to Enable Web Server and press OK.

  4. Right-click FP@Your IP Address again and select Deploy All. This will deploy the settings to the target and enable the web server.
  5. Reboot the FieldPoint controller.
If a web page has not already been created for the controller, execute the following steps:

  1. On the VI located under your FieldPoint bank in the Project Explorer, go to Tools»Web Publishing Tool to create a new web page.
  2. Save the web page on the development machine in a known location.
  3. Transfer the web page to the FieldPoint device through FTP.
  4. Save the files on the FieldPoint controller under ftp://Your IP address/ni-rt/system/www/.
