Can I Build a Stand-Alone Application Using LabVIEW?

Primary Software: LabVIEW Toolkits>>LabVIEW Application Builder
Primary Software Version: 8.0
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: LabVIEW Development Systems

Problem:
I need to build a LabVIEW application and distribute it to various computers. Can I build a stand-alone executable from my VIs?

Solution:
In order to build an application (i.e., create a stand-alone executable) from your LabVIEW VIs, you must have the Application Builder add-on. The LabVIEW Professional Development Systems ships with the Application Builder, but you must purchase the Application Builder separately if you have one of the other LabVIEW packages (Full Development System or Base Package).

To confirm that you have a licensed copy of Application Builder, open NI License Manager and under modules, look for a green colored square on the left of Application Builder as shown below:

See the Related Links section for more detailed information on what the Application Builder add-on is and how to build an executable with the LabVIEW Application Builder.
