Does the LabVIEW DSC Module Allow Datalogging to a Network Drive?

Problem: I am using the LabVIEW 7.1 Datalogging and Supervisory Control (DSC) Module and want to log data on a remote computer. I have created a network drive for the location where I will be logging the data. Can I log data using this network drive?

Solution: No, Citadel does not allow datalogging to network drives. If you want to log data in a remote location, specify the complete path to the folder on the network computer to which the data will be logged in the Tag Configuration Editor. Complete the following steps to specify the complete path to a network computer.
  1. Open the Tag Configuration Editor by selecting Tools»DSC Module»Configure Tags.
  2. Select Configure»Historical to launch the Historical Logging Configuration dialog box.
  3. Enter the computer name of the network computer in the Log to computer text control.
  4. Enter the path to the folder you want to log to in the Data Directory text control.
