Why Don't the LEDs On My FP-TC-120 Light Up When I Don't Have My Thermocouple Plugged In?Hardware: FieldPoint>>Analog I/O Modules>>FP-TC-120
Problem: I just plugged my FP-TC-120 into my controller and wired up my thermocouples. However the LEDs don't light up for the empty channels. Why? Solution: A feature of the FP-TC-120 is open circuit detection. That is, if no thermocouple is plugged into the module then the corresponding LED lights up (See PG 7 of the FieldPoint Operating Instructions of the FP-TC120). This feature will not become effective until an IP address has been assigned to the controller in MAX and the "Apply" button has been hit. Once the changes are applied you'll note that the LEDs will function properly. Related Links: Manuals: FP-TC120 Operating Instructions Attachments:
