Conflicting Range Values in Thermocouple Task Cause Error -200077 Primary Software: Driver Software>>NI-DAQmxPrimary Software Version: 8.0 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A Hardware: SCXI>>Modules>>SCXI-1112
Problem: When the maximum and minimum values specified as the temperature range of a thermocouple task exceed the range of values used when calibrating that channel using the DAQ Assistant, the thermocouple task returns error -200077. For example, a calibration file is created for a particular thermocouple channel over a range of temperatures from 0 to 100°C, and that calibration is saved as part of a thermocouple task. When the signal input range of that task is set to any value outside of the range of values addressed in the calibration file, the task returns 'Error -200077: Requested value is not a supported value for this property.' Solution: From the error description, it is not always clear that the error is caused by a conflict between the range of calibrated values and the actual input signal range. You can verify that this conflict is causing the error by either disabling or deleting the calibration data. To disable the calibration data for a thermocouple task through the DAQ Assistant, select Properties under the Calibration tab. In the Channel Calibration Properties dialog box, un-check the option to 'Enable Calibration'. This will disable the calibration and avoid a conflict between range values. A more effective workaround would be to recalibrate your thermocouple channel over a temperature range wide enough to encompass the desired input range Related Links: KnowledgeBase 3NAFKU9N: Error -200077 (0xFFFCF273) During Thermocouple Measurements with SCB-68 or SCXI Attachments:
