How Do I View a Menu on a Panel at Design Time in LabWindows/CVI?

Primary Software: LabWindows/CVI Development Systems>>Base Package
Primary Software Version: 9.0
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: LabWindows/CVI Development Systems>>Full Development System

Problem:
Menus created in LabWindows/CVI are stored in a .uir file along with the user interface panels they appear on but are typically loaded onto these panels at runtime.  As such, they are not readily visible at design time on those panels but are instead accessed by a menu selection in the environment.  Is there any way to view a given menu on a particular panel at design time?

Solution:
Panels can maintain a notion of an associated menu bar if you so choose.  To set this association, do the following:
  1. Double-click on any free, unoccupied space to access the Properties dialog.
  2. Within the Properties for a given panel, there is a field called Menu Bar.  From this field, you can select one of the available menus to automatically associate with that particular panel.
Once you do this, the menu will then show up on the panel at design time.
