HiQ 2.2.1d1 Crashes on a Macintosh Running MacOS 8.x

Primary Software: Other NI Software>>HiQ
Primary Software Version: 2.2.1d4
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: N/A

Problem:
HiQ 2.2.1d1 for MacOS crashes often on a Blue & White Macintosh G3/350 running MacOS D1-8.5.1. When opening a HiQ sample worksheet an error appears: ''Could not complete your request because the required resources were not found'' and then HiQ hangs and the user has to kill the task. In some instances HiQ would initiate a system crash and only a hardware reset reboots the machine. While all the other applications on my system run very well and are stable, HiQ is unusable.

Solution:
The HiQ 2.2.1d4 update will probably fix this situation. It is available on the National Instruments web site. This update fixes several problems with HiQ 2.2.1 on MacOS 8.0 and later.

Note: National Instruments does not support HiQ functionality on Mac OS in LabVIEW 7.0 and will no longer support HiQ functionality on all platforms after LabVIEW 7.0. If your application uses HiQ VIs, consider replacing them with the Analyze and Mathematics VIs. Refer to the LabVIEW Help for information about using the Analyze and Mathematics VIs. You access the LabVIEW Help by selecting Help»VI, Function, & How-To Help.
