Continuous Pattern Output.vi Produces Error -10803 with PCI-6533 (PCI-DIO-32HS) Hardware: Digital I/O (DIO)>>High-Speed>>PCI-6533
Problem: When I increase the clock frequency past about 8000 scans/second, minimizing the LabVIEW window or opening other windows in the background causes NI-DAQ to give me error -10803. Solution: There are many factors that may cause this problem. Basically, error -10803 occurs when the computer cannot write data from its memory to the DAQ card fast enough during Digital Outputs. This error can also be generated during Digital Inputs when the computer tries to read data faster than it is being written by the DAQ card to the memory buffer. While many solutions may exist, the following suggestions work in most cases: Increase the number of updates control on the LabVIEW Front Panel. In general, you should choose number of updates to be around 1/5 the value of clock frequency. Doing this will reduce the number of actual transfers per second that the computer must make.
