Why Are My Graphs Not Showing up in My TestStand HTML Reports?

Primary Software: TestStand
Primary Software Version: 1.0
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: N/A

Problem:
I've included waveform data in my HTML report in TestStand. At the end of the execution, my reports show graphs for this waveform data. However, when I open the reports later (outside of TestStand), the graphs do not show up. Why is this happening, and how can I fix it?

Solution:
This is happening because the graphs are using ActiveX commands to create the images, which is restricted for security reasons in most modern browsers.

The best recommendation to get these graphs in your reports is to save a picture of the graph, and insert that picture into the report instead.

If you are using LabVIEW, you can save a picture of a graph using the Get Image Method.

Once you have the image, you can insert images into a TestStand report by modifying the report to contain the following HTML code wherever you want your images to appear:
<IMG ALT="My Picture" SRC="myimage.gif"></IMG>

The following article describes adding images into a TestStand report in greater detail: KnowledgeBase 2ORG4KVW: Inserting Images into the TestStand Report.

You can also refer to the following link to see a Community Example program that embeds an image of a LabVIEW graph control: NI Community: Embedding a LabVIEW Control Image Into a TestStand Report.
