Problem: I am either running a program that uses the IMAQ for IEEE 1394 Cameras driver or the IMAQdx driver, or running a script that uses these drivers. I keep getting error -1074364385 when trying to run my program. How can I fix this? Solution: This error message indicates that the license for the IMAQ for IEEE 1394 Cameras or IMAQdx driver is expired. To verify that this is the case, go to Start » Programs » National Instruments » NI License Manager. Look for a listing called Vision Acquisition Software with a corresponding version number next to it. If the IMAQ for IEEE 1394 Cameras driver is version 2.0.3 or older, you may see a different listing such as NIIMAQ1394 instead of Vision Acquisition Software. Expand the Vision Acquisition Software category by clicking on the plus icon that is to the left of it. The listing that shows up right below should have a square icon on the left side of it. If this square icon is red in color, then the license for the driver has expired. Usually this occurs when the driver is installed for a trial period, and the trial period has expired.  In order to correct this problem, a valid license for the Vision Acquisition Software package is needed. Once you have a license ready, which is usually in the form of a serial number, you can activate the driver using the NI License Manager by right-clicking on the Vision Acquisition Software listing that has the square icon next to it, and selecting Activate. Follow the instructions that are shown in the dialog prompt. Once the activation process is complete, the square icon should change to either a solid green color, or a half white, half green color. This will resolve the error.  Note: The version of the FireWire driver that you have installed must match the version of the driver that the license is valid for.
