How Do I Use My FieldPoint Analog Input Dual Channel Modules in Differential Mode?Hardware: FieldPoint>>Dual-Channel Modules
Problem: The FP-TB-10 user manual states that I can use my Analog Input Dual Channel modules in differential mode. When I use DAQ products I have to configure this mode in Measurement and Automation Explorer. Do I need to perform any configuration for the FieldPoint Dual Channel Modules? Solution: In order to use Differential Mode in the FieldPoint Analog Input Dual Channel Modules, you should only connect a signal to one of the two channels in the Dual Channel Module. The two channels share an isolated common terminal. If there is only one signal connected, then the signal is connected differentially to the amplifier. If both channels are connected, then the common terminal is shared between two channels and therefore the connection is no longer differential. For more information about the Dual Channel Modules see the link to the operating instructions for the FP-TB-10 below.
