How Many Relays Can I Close Simultaneously With the PXI-2530? Hardware: Modular Instruments, Switches>>Multiplexer/Matrix>>PXI-2530
Problem: I have a PXI 2530 and I am running it in independent mode. I am trying to close all 128 channels at once and I get error -200671 stating that cannot exceed 64 at a time. How do I close all 128 channels? Solution: If you check the dynamic characteristics specification of this card, you will see that it can only operate 64 relays simultaneously. The driver disables the switch device to prevent it from exceeding its simultaneous relay drive limit. You can reset the device programmatically or manually in MAX to enable the card again, but you are limited to the number of simulaneous relay operations as stated in the manual.
