Synchronizing Digital Input And Analog Input with LabVIEWHardware: Legacy DAQ Devices>>Digital I/O>>PC-DIO-96
Problem: I have an SC-2040 Sample and Hold Board running through a PCI-MIO-16E-1. I am using this to acquire eight analog channel measurements. I also have a PCI-DIO-96 connected to 12-bit absolute encoder. Is it possible to synchronize the measurements taken by these two devices? Solution: You can use the SC-2040 and the E-Series board to capture the eight simultaneous analog measurements, which is performed using a track and hold signal to clock the data into the E Series board. You can wire this track and hold signal to the STB line on the PCI-DIO-96 to perform the digital buffered input at the same time as the analog measurements. Refer to the 8255 example for the PCI-DIO-96 part. Thus, on the edge where the Hold part occurs, your measurements will be synchronized.
