Database Driver Files Not Listed in ODBC AdministratorPrimary Software: LabVIEW Toolkits>>Enterprise Connectivity ToolsetPrimary Software Version: 1.0 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A
Problem: Why are the database driver files not listed in the ODBC Administrator? Solution: This problem usually occurs when you uninstall the SQL Toolkit. Upgrading to the Database Connectivity Toolset automatically fixes the problem, but if the SQL Toolkit is uninstalled or reinstalled, the database drivers are not listed in the ODBC Administrator. The SQL Toolkit uninstaller removes the registry key at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ODBC\ODBCINST.INI\ODBC Drivers. This can cause problems when trying to create Data Source Names (DSNs), which are needed to reference the SQL commands that LabVIEW uses to the correct database. The installer for the Database Connectivity Toolset contains a LabVIEW executable, Fix ODBC Registry.exe (attached below), that restores the ODBC Drivers registry key.Note: You must install the LabVIEW 6.0 Run-Time Engine before running Fix ODBC Registry.exe.Related Links: Attachments:
