Archived: Why is the Product Activation Phone System Disconnected When I Call?

Problem:
I do not have access to internet on my computer but need to activate my NI Products.  I selected the option to Call National Instruments.  However, when I call the number given it is disconnected, how do I activate my products over the phone?

Solution:
National Instruments has decided to deprecated the automated phone system for activation. 

In order to activate your NI Software on a computer without internet access you can:
  • Use a Web browser on this or another computer
  • Send an email from this or another computer
  • Send a fax
You can get these options when in the Activation Wizard selecting Use a Web browser, email client, telephone, or fax machine to acquire an activation code.  For more information about the other activation methods, please see the links below.

If your only option is to activate over the phone, please go to ni.com/niglobal. From their find your local branch and it will give you the phone number you may call during business hours to get further assistance.
