How do I Determine the Sampling Rate of a SCXI-1520 Module?

Hardware: SCXI>>Modules>>SCXI-1520

Problem:
I am using a SCXI-1520 module, at what rates can I sample on all eight channels?

Solution:
The SCXI-1520 is a simultaneous sampling device that uses track-and-hold technology. The maximum convert rate for simultaneous sample and hold (SSH) circuit in the SCXI 1520 is 10 micro-seconds. For example, if you are using all 8 channels on a SCXI-1520 and the DAQ device can sample at 800 kS/s, you can go up to 100 kS/s/channel. If the DAQ device cannot sample up to 800 kS/s, then the rate of the 1520 module is limited to the maximum DAQ sampling rate divided by the number of 1520 channels in use.

If your application requires more than 8 channels, then a separate DAQ device is necessary for each 1520 module that will be used in parallel mode instead of multiplexed mode.   In parallel mode, the eight conditioned analog output signals at the rear signal connector of the SCXI-1520 are connected directly to the eight analog input channels on the DAQ device. When the SCXI-1520 operates in parallel mode, the DAQ device performs multiplexed scans of the SCXI-1520 parallel outputs. The SCXI-1520 module does not multiplex the channels.
