How Can I Write Non-English Characters in LabWindows™/CVI?

Problem:
I am able to write non-English characters in external programs such as Microsoft Word™, but when I copy it to LabWindows/CVI, the characters do not display correctly.

How can I use these characters in LabWindows/CVI?

Solution:
To use non-English characters in LabWindows/CVI, follow these steps:
  1. Change your keyboard language to the desired language.To do this, Open the Windows Control Panel, then select Regional and Language Options. In the Keyboards and Languages tab, navigate to Modify keyboards, and then add the desired language.
  2. Navigate to Administrative tab, in Language for non-Unicode programs choose Change system locale and then select the desired language.
  3. Restart your computer.

  5. Launch LabWindows/CVI. You should be able to write characters in the deired language in the editor window.
