My PCI-6704 Fails the Self-Test in MAX When I Attempt to Open a Test PanelPrimary Software: Utility Software>>Measurement & Automation ExplorerPrimary Software Version: 3.1 Primary Software Fixed Version: 3.1 Secondary Software: N/A Hardware: Signal Sources (AWG/FG/AO)>>Analog Output Devices>>PCI-6704
Problem: When I try to open a traditional test panel in MAX v3.1 for my PCI-6704 it notifies me that my device has failed the self-test, but will proceed to open a test panel. I also have an MIO card in my system which give the same error as well. I don't notice any other odd behavior though and both seem to function fine. Solution: This issue has been noted in versions of NI-DAQ as late as 7.2. Upgrading to NI-DAQ 7.3 will correct the device failing the self-test. If you are receiving this error in 6.9.3 and need only traditional support, then install only the traditional support from the NI-DAQ 7.3 installation configuration. Related Links: Attachments:
