Can I Use an Ethernet Cable To Connect My TEDS Sensors To the SCXI-1314T?Hardware: SCXI>>Terminal Blocks>>SCXI-1314T
Problem: I have Class 2 TEDS sensors that I would like to connect to my SCXI-1314T. Can I use RJ-45 ethernet cabling instead of the recommended RJ-50 cabling? Solution: The RJ-50 standard is a ten-conductor data cable that contains 5 twisted pairs of wires, while RJ-45 is an eight-conductor data cable that contains only 4 pairs of wires. The two extra wires available in the RJ-50 standard are used by the SCXI-1314T for shunt calibration. If an RJ-45 cable is used, the shunt calibration feature will not be available.
