What Cable Should I Use With my DIO Board and MIO Board When Connected to the SCB-100?

Problem: What Cable Should I Use With my DIO Board and MIO Board When Connected to the SCB-100?

Solution: There is a general tendency to use an SH100-100 cable for both the DIO and MIO board. But this cable is intended to be used with the MIO board. The SH100-100 shorts some of the lines together which are common grounds on the MIO boards. However, on DIO boards they are not common grounds; in fact some of them are channels. So, the SH100-100 is not compatible with the DIO boards.

Instead, you must use the SH100-100F cable with the DIO boards. The following boards need the SH100-100-F cable: PCI-6527, PXI-6527, PCI-DIO-96, PXI-6508, or DAQPad-6508.

SH100-100-F is the same cable used for the Flex Motion boards.
