Why Does My SC-2311 Have All of Its Sockets Filled With a White Substance?

Hardware: Signal Conditioning Other>>5B Series>>SC-2311

Problem:
My new SC-2311 carrier has all of its pin holes filled with a white substance. Is this normal?

Solution:
The white substance is a silicon sealant that protects the pin holes from contamination. The modules can be inserted into these sockets without needing to clean out the pin holes.
