Invalid Object Reference Error When Trying to Run Editor on Read-Only .mxb FilePrimary Software: Measurement Studio>>Enterprise Edition (Full Development System)Primary Software Version: N/A Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: Measurement Studio>>Professional Edition (Base Package)
Problem: When I use an assistant to edit a .mxb file, Measurement Studio generates an invalid object reference error. Why is this happening and how can I fix it?Solution: If you use an assistant to edit a .mxb file that is read-only, Measurement Studio generates an invalid object reference error. This can happen if the .mxb file is read-only at the time the solution is loaded, but not if you make it read-only in an already loaded solution.Making the .mxb file and its associated source files writable before you edit the .mxb file will cause this error to go away.Related Links: KnowledgeBase 3DRCDETY: Using a NI-DAQmx Task and the DAQ Assistant With Microsoft Visual Studio .NET Programming Developer Zone Tutorial: Using the DAQ Assistant in Measurement Studio Developer Zone Tutorial: Using the DAQ Assistant in LabWindows/CVI Attachments:
