Does the SPEEDY-33 Support File I/O?Primary Software: LabVIEW Modules>>DSP ModulePrimary Software Version: 2.0 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: LabVIEW Development Systems>>LabVIEW Professional Development System
Problem: I would like to acquire data and store it to the nonvolatile memory of the SPEEDY-33. Unfortunately there does not seem to be any File I/O VIs when I target my SPEEDY-33. Does the SPEEDY-33 support File I/O? Solution: The SPEEDY-33 does NOT support File I/O. The reason is because the hardware onboard the SPEEDY-33 is the Texas Instruments™ TMS320VC33 DSP chip and not a microcontroller. The primary function of DSP chips is to stream processed data at a high rate, rather than storing data on the limited nonvolatile memory which can be rather slow.
