Why Won't the SCXI-1100 Sample Faster Than 100k S/s?Hardware: SCXI>>Modules>>SCXI-1100
Problem: The SCXI-1100 has a maximum sampling rate of 166k S/s. However, anytime I set the sampling rate above 100k S/s I get an error. Why is this happening? Solution: Currently the DAQmx driver does not allow the card to sample at a rate that would drop the module's resolution below 14 bits. In this case this maximum rate for 14-bit resolution comes out to 100k S/s even though the module can go faster. To achieve the module's actual maximum rate of 166k S/s (and the corresponding 13-bit resolution), manually set the AIConvert.Rate property to 166k S/s with a Timing Property Node in LabVIEW as shown below.
