Device Not Found When Emulating a 78xx R-Series Board with LabVIEW FPGA 7.1 Primary Software: LabVIEW Modules>>FPGA ModulePrimary Software Version: 1.1 Primary Software Fixed Version: Secondary Software:
Problem: I am creating a LabVIEW FPGA 7.1 program that will eventually use the PCI-7831R board. However, I do not have that board installed on my computer and I am trying to emulate this device. When I try to switch execution targets to an emulated R Series board, it does not list any supported emulation devices, even though it is states that you can emulate a device in the help file. How do I overcome this and emulate my R-Series board in LabVIEW FPGA 7.1? Solution: In LabVIEW 7.1 with LabVIEW FPGA 1.1, you must have an FPGA device installed to use an emulator. Once the FPGA device is installed, you will then be able to emulate this device for future use. Complete the following steps to use an emulator to test an FPGA VI.
