VME Control of PXI Chassis

Hardware: VXI/VME/MXI>>VME Interfaces>>VME-PXI8012, VXI/VME/MXI>>VME Interfaces>>VME-PXI8015

Problem:
Does National Instruments offer any MXI kit that will allow for VME control of a PXI chassis?

Solution:
It is not possible to control a PXI chassis through VME.  This is due to the fact that VME uses register-based communication and PXI communicates using the PCI bus. Therefore a PXI/PCI device can never be slave to a VME controller.
