Improper Millisecond Timestamp With Logos Time Server on Fieldpoint and Compact Fieldpoint

Hardware: Compact FieldPoint>>Controllers

Problem:
Why does my embedded VI return incorrect timestamp readings when logging data at regular millisecond intervals (using the "Wait Unitl Next ms Multiple" VI) on a FP-2000 or cFP-2010 controller with the Logos Time Server enabled?

Solution:
This is the expected behavior of a real-time (RT) embedded system with the Logos Time Server enabled. The time server adjusts the time on the RT controller in whole second increments which results in occasional adjustments to the reported timestamps. You can avoid this behavior by disabling the time server setting on the controller from MAX. To do this, set the IP for the time server to 0.0.0.0.
