Can an Intelligent DAQ Board (R-Series) Run in a PXI Chassis Without a Controller? Hardware: Reconfigurable I/O (RIO)>>R Series>>PXI-7831R
Problem: R-series boards can be configured to run a compiled LabVIEW FPGA VI on power up. Is it possible for these boards to run headlessly? Solution: Yes, but you must use a MXI card in the controller slot of your PXI chassis if you are not using a controller. R-series boards were designed to run with a controller in the chassis. Running these boards in a chassis without a controller is not recommended because the PXI lines would have floating signals that could cause damage. For this reason it is necessary to use a MXI card that would pull the digital lines down to ground. Related Links: Attachments:
