Problem: Is it possible to use the LabVIEW 7.1, 8.0, or 8.0.1 Mobile modules with a device running Windows Mobile 5.0? Solution: Yes, all modules are compatible with Windows Mobile 5.0, however there are limitations. Using the 7.1 and 8.0 Mobile modules you can create applications for Pocket PC 2003, which work on Windows Mobile 5.0. However, the Mobile modules do not include additional features specific for Windows Mobile 5.0. The 8.0.1 module includes the features of Windows Mobile 5.0, however, the SDK for Windows Mobile requires that Visual Studio 2005 be installed. This software is not free but is required for any applications built with the 8.0.1 Module that want to take advantage of the Windows Mobile 5.0 features.
