Please Wait While Windows Configures TestStand x.x Keeps Showing UpPrimary Software: TestStandPrimary Software Version: 3.5 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A
Problem: Every time I boot my machine or start LabVIEW or CVI I get a popup says "Please wait while Windows configures TestStand x.x" (similar to the attached screenshot). It keeps running the popup over and over. How do I fix this issue? Solution: This has been caused by a particular order of installion of NI software. The exact order of installation that results in this error has not been pinpointed as of yet. To fix this, simply copy the dll titled msxml4.dll from C:\WINDOWS\system32 to the following directory: C:\WINDOWS\WinSxS\x86_Microsoft.MSXML2_6bd6b9abf345378f_4.20.9818.0_x-ww_8ff50c5d In addition, copy the dll titled msxml4r.dll from C:\WINDOWS\system32 to the following directory: C:\WINDOWS\WinSxS\x86_Microsoft.MSXML2R_6bd6b9abf345378f_4.1.0.0_x-ww_29c3ad6a NOTE: Do not delete The dlls from your system32 folder. Just copy and paste them in the new directories. If they already exist then override them.
