Smart Camera: Incorrect Time Server Configured when Suggest Values Button is Pressed for Static IP Configuration in MAX Primary Software: Driver Software>>NI-IMAQPrimary Software Version: 3.5.1 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A Hardware: Image Acquisition (IMAQ)>>Compact Vision System
Problem: I would like to assign a static IP address to my Smart Camera. When I select the "Suggest Values" button in Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX), it assigns the proper IP address to my smart camera. However, it also assigns an IP address as the Time Server. However that IP address is invalid as I do not have any Time Server at that address. Solution: This is a known issue with the MAX provider. The Time Server address generated is actually the IP address of the host machine from which you are configuring the Smart Camera. If you need a Time Server, install one on you host machine. Otherwise, you can manually enter the IP address of an existing Time Server. If you do not require a Time Server, you can delete the IP address. Related Links: Attachments:
