How Do I Know if the Automation Symbols Toolkit is Correctly Installed? Primary Software: LabVIEW Toolkits>>System Simulation and Design ToolsetPrimary Software Version: 5.0 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A
Problem: How do I know if the Automation Symbols Toolkit is correctly installed? Solution: The Automation Symbols files should be installed in the vi.lib\_scada directory. There should be a directory within _scada called controls. This directory contains several library (LLB) files with VIs containing custom controls (the "Automation Symbols"). In LabVIEW you use the Toolkit by selecting Project >> Automation Symbols Catalog. Selecting this option brings up an interactive window that allows users to preview the Automation Symbols. Double-clicking on the symbol name in the list loads the VI associated with the symbol.
