Problem: I would like to be able to use low-level hardware functions in Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) in Excel. Can I execute functions like "ReadData(s as String)" or "WriteData(s as String)" in VBA if I have Measure installed? Solution: Measure only provides support for basic I/O with DAQ, GPIB, and Serial hardware. If you are looking to perform lower-level I/O in Excel, you may want to consider using ComponentWorks, a set of ActiveX controls for instrumentation. The base package of ComponentWorks is included on the Measure 2.0 CD. Remember that National Instruments does not provide support for VBA coding.
