What RT Disk Utilities Are Available With Windows Vista? Problem: The LabVIEW Real-Time floppy disk utilities are not supported on Windows Vista, and those options are grayed out in the MAX menu Tools»RT Disk Utilities. However, I would like to be able to create an RT Utility such as Format Hard Drive Disk, Boot Disk, and Safe Mode Disk. What do I do? Solution: Only the "Create Desktop PC Utility USB Drive" will work with Windows Vista. To access that utility, open up the Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX), click on Tools»RT Disk Utilities»Create Desktop PC Utility USB Drive. Make sure you have a USB flash drive connected to your PC / laptop. If you must create a floppy disk RT utility, you can install LabVIEW Real-Time on Windows XP or Windows 2000 in order to do so.
