Is RS-422 Compatible With LabVIEW Real-Time?

Problem: I need to use RS-422 communication to some of my instruments. Is this possible within LabVIEW Real-Time?

Solution: Yes. RS-422 is a subset of RS-485. RS-485 therefore includes RS-422. There are several RS-485 PXI Interfaces available, most of which are compatible with Real-Time. The driver, NI-Serial RT, is installed with the Device Driver CD.
