Transferring Vision Builder AI Inspections To or From a CVS Primary Software: Vision Builder for Automated InspectionPrimary Software Version: N/A Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A Hardware: Image Acquisition (IMAQ)>>Compact Vision System
Problem: I created a Vision Builder for Automated Inspection (VBAI) script on a Windows based PC. Now, I would like to upload this VBAI script to my Compact Vision System (CVS). I tried making a directory on my CVS to transfer my VBAI script via the File Transfer Protocol (FTP), but when I target the CVS using VBAI, my script does not show up in the open dialog box. How can I transfer my VBAI code either to or from my CVS? Solution: There is a tool built-in to VBAI to do this. First, you have to be targeted to the CVS in VBAI. Then, go to Tools ยป Inspection Manager. This will pop up a window in which you can transfer VBAI inspections to and from the CVS. Select which inspection that you would like to copy to or from the CVS and click on the Copy button. (See the screenshots below.) Note: If you have a Simulate Acquisition step in your script that was created on your PC, you will also have to copy the images into a folder on the CVS that has a similar directory on your PC, so that when you run the script on the CVS it will be able to find the images.
