Installing LabVIEW 7.1 Will Remove Support for the PCI-7030 and PXI-7030 RT Controller Hardware: Multifunction DAQ (MIO)>>Real-Time>>PCI-7030/6030E, Multifunction DAQ (MIO)>>Real-Time>>PCI-7030/6040E, Multifunction DAQ (MIO)>>Real-Time>>PCI-7030/6533, Multifunction DAQ (MIO)>>Real-Time>>PXI-7030/6030E, Multifunction DAQ (MIO)>>Real-Time>>PXI-7030/6040E, Multifunction DAQ (MIO)>>Real-Time>>PXI-7030/6533
Problem: After upgrading to LabVIEW 7.1, my PCI-7030 or PXI-7030 shows up in the Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX), but it is not a selectable execution target. Solution: When LabVIEW 7.1 is installed, changes are made to the LabVIEW 7.0 installation that changes the way hardware is found when "Switching Execution Targets" in LabVIEW 7.0 with Real-Time (RT). The PCI-7030 RT board will still show up in MAX 3.1 and will pass all of its tests, but will not be a selectable execution target. Uninstalling LabVIEW 7.1 and rebooting the computer will revert the changed items, again allowing use of the PCI/PXI-7030 in LabVIEW 7.0 Real-Time. The PCI/PXI-7030 has reached end-of-life and is not supported in LabVIEW 7.1 or later. Related Links: Attachments:
