Some Modulation Toolkit 1.0 VIs Open With Broken Run Buttons in LabVIEW 7.0 ExpressPrimary Software: LabVIEW Development Systems>>Base PackagePrimary Software Version: 7.0 Primary Software Fixed Version: 7.0 Secondary Software: LabVIEW Development Systems>>Full Development System, LabVIEW Development Systems>>Professional Development System
Problem: Some Modulation Toolkit 1.0 VIs which worked correctly in LabVIEW 6.1 now open 'broken' in LV 7.0. LabVIEW 7.0 reports that Modulation Toolkit VIs cannot locate 'FIR Coefficients.vi', and thus cannot compile. What is the reason for this issue and how can I correct it as it pertains to Modulation Toolkit 1.0? Solution: The reason for this issue is a name change in a low-level LabVIEW analysis VI. A VI named 'FIR Coefficients.vi' in LabVIEW 6.1 was renamed 'FIR Windowed (Uniform) Filter Coefficients.vi', and therefore the Modulation Toolkit VIs cannot find the VI with the exact title it is looking for. Please see the Related Links section for a link to a more general KnowledgeBase entry on this issue as it pertains to LabVIEW. To correct this issue as it pertains to Modulation Toolkit 1.0: 1) Locate you LabVIEW folder (typically C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 7.0\) 2) Copy the attached VI into: 3) Click "Yes" to replace the existing version of this VI.
