Why Am I Getting Error -200609 or Error -200802?

Primary Software: LabVIEW Development Systems>>Professional Development System
Primary Software Version: 8.0
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: N/A
Hardware: Multifunction DAQ (MIO)

Problem: When attempting to create an analog output task I receive Error -200609 or Error -200802 in DAQmx Write when I write data to the buffer before starting the task.

Solution: Error -200609 is caused when a buffer is created but the selected size of the buffer is too small. This can solved by increasing the buffer size using DAQmx Configure Output Buffer in LabVIEW or the DAQmxCfgOutputBuffer in C.

Error -200802 is caused when the amount of data being written the buffer is larger than the current buffer size. This can be solved by setting up a larger buffer on the card's memory using DAQmx Configure Output Buffer.

Consult the user manual of the data acquisition card you are using to determine the maximum size of the output buffer on the card.
