Installing Measurement Studio 7.0 Over Measurement Studio 6.0 Replaces the DataSocket Release License with Beta License

Problem: Measurement Studio 7.0 installs the beta license for DataSocket instead of the release license. When I try to use DataSocket in Visual Basic, I receive an evaluation message and the control behaves as an evaluation control. How can this issue be corrected?

Solution: Measurement Studio 6.0 shipped with DataSocket version 4.0.3.375 while Measurement Studio 7.0 shipped with DataSocket version 4.1.3.71. To correct this problem, run the Measurement Studio 6.0 installer in repair mode. When the installer runs in repair mode, the beta license will be replaced by the released license, fixing the issue.
