How Can I Calibrate My DAQCard-700? Hardware: Legacy DAQ Devices>>Multifunction DAQ>>DAQCard-700
Problem: How can I calibrate my DAQCard-700? Solution: Calibration is a two-step process: first, the board measurements must be compared to known voltages in order to quantify any offset or gain errors as calibration constants. Second, these offset or gain corrections must be stored and applied to any subsequent measurements made by the board. In the case of the DAQCard-700, the calibration constants are determined and stored on board in an EEPROM at the factory. Thereafter, these constants are factored into all measurements made by the card. For the DAQCard-700, there is no software support to write new coefficients to the EEPROM when the card is in the field. If you doubt the integrity of the calibration constants, you can perform the following tests to verify them:
Note: The board is now too old to be sent to National Instruments for a factory calibration. It can, however, be sent in as an RMA or repurchased on the website.
