Problem: Why do I get the message Failed to Download FP Read Basic.vi when I download a VI to my FieldPoint Real-Time Target? Then I get several more message boxes with similar errors. I just upgraded to FieldPoint Explorer 3.0.2 and everything was working before. Also I can still download VI as long as there are no FieldPoint VIs in my program.Solution: You need to download the LabVIEW 6.1.1 firmware. See the attached link for instructions. The error message indicates that the version of FieldPoint VI Manager on the Real-Time target is incorrect. FieldPoint Explorer 3.0.2 introduced faster FieldPoint VIs on the RT target. This change also involved a change in the FieldPoint VI Manager version. Firmware 6.1.0 does not contain the new FieldPoint VI Manager, where as version 6.1.1 does.
