Why Does DASYLab Use the NI-DEV.INI File ?

Problem: When I start DASYLab I get an error message on the screen 'The section [Board xx] is missing inside NI-DEV.INI. Please add the board characteristics there.'

Solution: DASYLab installs two drivers for NI hardware. The old driver is installed for compatibility reasons - worksheets created with the old driver will still run with the new DASYLab version. The old driver, however, does not support newer NI boards. In this case it will cause the above error message. You can disable the old driver to avoid the error message . Go to the Experiment menu and choose Select Driver. You can select the Demo Driver to replace the old NI-DAQ driver. The new National Instruments driver uses a different interface and can co-exist with the demo driver.
