What is the SCXI Module Priority if I Am Using More Than One Module?Hardware: SCXI
Problem: If I am using more than one type of module in a single SCXI chassis which module should I choose as the communicating module? Solution: Using Multiplexed Mode for All Modules When setting up your chassis, the SCXI module with the highest priority should be connected to the cable adapter (i.e. SCXI-1349). If one of the modules in the chassis is capable of simultaneous sampling it has highest priority. When you cable to one of the modules without simultaneous sampling capability, you will get an error message when you run your application. If none of the modules in the chassis are capable of simultaneous sampling, choose the highest priority module by selecting the module that occurs first in the following list:
Each module configured in parallel mode will have its own cable adapter running to a DAQ device. Since the connected DAQ device will control only a single module it is not necessary to consider priority. For the remaining multiplexed modules choose the module with the highest priority as described in the previous section and attach the cable adaptor to the module. Using Parallel Mode for All ModulesEach module configured in parallel mode will have its own cable adapter running to a DAQ device. Since the connected DAQ device will control only a single module it is not necessary to consider priority. Attach a cable adapter to each module.
