Using What's This? Help on Windows Vista with Visual Basic 6.0 Primary Software: Measurement Studio>>Visual Basic SupportPrimary Software Version: 6.0 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A
Problem: When using Measurement Studio ActiveX controls with Visual Basic 6.0 on Microsoft Windows Vista, I am unable to launch the What's This? context help from the property pages. Is this expected behavior? Solution: Yes. Windows Vista does not support use of help files that have an .hlp file extension, which is what the context-sensitive What's This? help relies on. As a result, when developing with Measurement Studio ActiveX controls on Windows Vista, you will be unable to access context-sensitive help in the ActiveX control property pages. For information about features and functionality previously documented in What's This? format, refer to the Measurement Studio online help, which is available through the Start menu, under Programs>>National Instruments>>Measurement Studio>>Help.
