Problem: How can I view a saved waveform using VirtualBench Scope?
Solution: VirtualBench Scope stores its datafiles as tab-delimited data in columns. Following are instructions on viewing a saved VirtualBench Scope waveform:
- Choose File » Load Waveform.
- When prompted for the file settings, leave everything as default (unless you are loading a non-VirtualBench Scope waveform file) and select the Copy to location (Ref1 or Ref2).
- You should see the correct waveform in the preview pane. If you do not see the waveform, then one of the settings is not correct (for example, delimiter should be commas instead of tabs).
- After the waveform is loaded, you may not see it in the display pane of VirtualBench Scope.
- Adjust the Volts/Division, Vertical Position, and Timebase to find your data.
- Adjusting the scrollbar (left-click on the left edge of the scrollbar to increase its size...thus increasing the timebase) can also help resolve your data.
