NI-DAQmx Error Some Components Required for Editing Are Missing

When I place a DAQ Assistant VI in LabVIEW or I try to create a new NI-DAQmx Scale in NI Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX), I get the error message: Initialization Error: Some components required for editing are missing.

This behavior may be caused by a corrupt installation of the NI-DAQmx driver. Try the following steps to fix the issue:

Repair the NI-DAQmx driver.
- If the driver was installed through NI Package Manager, refer to Repair Software In NI Package Manager (NIPM).
- Otherwise, refer to Force Reinstall Non-Working or Corrupt NI Software.
Uninstall and reinstall the NI-DAQmx driver with administrator privileges.
- If the driver was installed through NI Package Manager, refer to Uninstall NI Software or Drivers Using NI Package Manager .
- Otherwise, refer to Uninstall or Repair NI Software or Drivers in Windows .
Update to the latest version of NI-DAQmx.
