Hotplugging an ExpressCard module into a PXIe-8130 while Windows is running can cause a resume from hibernation to later fail. Hardware: PXI/CompactPCI>>Controllers>>PXIe-8130
Problem: If an ExpressCard module is added to the system while the PXIe-8130 is running Window XP or Windows Vista, and the OS is later hibernated, the OS will hang when the system resumes from hibernate. Solution: To add new hardware to the system, you must use the "Shut Down" option before inserting the new hardware. When the new hardware has been successfully added to the system, the Hibernate sleep state will begin functioning normally again. Optionally, disable use of Hibernate in the Power configuration panel to avoid issues when hotplugging hardware. Related Links: Attachments:
