Data Acquisition in LabVIEW SignalExpress

Problem:
How do I acquire a waveform in LabVIEW SignalExpress?

Solution:
LabVIEW SignalExpress is built on LabVIEW Express Technology which allows for a configuration-based approach to programming. For data acquisition, this means the integration of the DAQ Assistant. The DAQ Assistant dialog boxes are fully integrated in the LabVIEW SignalExpress environment starting with NI-DAQmx 8.5. When you install NI-DAQmx 8.5 or later, you can use the DAQmx Acquire and DAQmx Generate steps to acquire and generate signals from DAQ devices. For more information about how to perform these measurements, refer to the “Getting Started with LabVIEW SignalExpress” PDF file that is installed with LabVIEW SignalExpress to the following location:

C:\Program Files\National Instruments\MAX\Assistants\manuals\GSwSE.pdf

The DAQ Assistant also allows for quick and easy measurements using National Instruments USB Plug and Play devices, like NI CompactDAQ and USB Data Acquisition devices. This allows LabVIEW SignalExpress to quickly and easily perform data acquisition measurements and log data.
