Why Do My [c]FP-TC-120 Modules Keep Failing Calibration? Primary Software: Calibration ExecutivePrimary Software Version: 3.1 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A Hardware: Compact FieldPoint>>Analog I/O Modules>>cFP-TC-120, FieldPoint>>Analog I/O Modules>>FP-TC-120
Problem: I am using Calibration Executive to check the calibration of my [c]FP-TC-120 modules. Every time I run the test, all of my thermocouple modules fail the negative tolerance test. I found this suspicious, so I looked into the specifications. For the 20mV test, the pass/fail limit is +/-10uV but for the -20mV test, the limit is only +/-1uV. Are these values correct? Solution: No, these test tolerances are not correct, but National Instruments has resolved the issue. To correct the invalid testing tolerances, please replace the current FP-TC-120.mdb file with the one below. By default, this file can be found at C:\Program Files\National Instruments\Calibration Executive\procedures\Fp-tc-120\Limits.
